Government Wage Subsidies 

A Wage Subsidy is a financial incentive provided by the Australian Government to eligible employers to encourage hiring of eligible people into ongoing jobs by contributing to the costs of hiring a new employee.  

Youth Bonus up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) or 100% of the wages paid to the employee, whichever is the lower amount, for people aged 24 years and under. Placements must offer a minimum average of 20 hours per week and run for 26 weeks from start date.  

Workforce Australia up to $10,000 (GST inclusive) or 100% of the wages paid to the employee, whichever is the lower amount. Placements must offer a minimum average of 15 hours per week, and a minimum of 6 weeks and maximum of 26 weeks from start date.
