Who will win the 2024 School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year?

The Queensland Government and ITEC Employment are committed to supporting Queensland communities and industries to develop the skills needed to grow and prosper — the Queensland Training Awards are part of this commitment.

As a proud sponsor of the awards, we eagerly anticipate the Regional Award Ceremony this Saturday, 13th July 2024. At the event we will have the privilege of announcing the winner of the School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year. This award honours the outstanding achievements of students undertaking school-based apprenticeships or traineeships.

Each year, hundreds of nominations are submitted from across the state, including:

– Apprentices and trainees

– School-based apprentices and trainees

– Graduates of certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma courses

– Employers who incorporate training in their workplaces

– Training organizations, teachers, and trainers

– Community-based organizations

There are 14 award categories, celebrating students including those who have overcome significant barriers or disadvantages, as well as First Nations peoples of Queensland.

Through these prestigious awards, the state’s top training achievers are revealed, and their efforts and accomplishments are recognised and celebrated statewide at seven regional finals events and a state gala dinner.

If you would like to join the awards event you can purchase your tickets here

We congratulate every finalist and look forward to a special award evening.
